You have been learning about the basics of artificial intelligence and its tools such as machine learning and neural network. Now it is time for an activity.
This is a design thinking challenge.
You have to think, imagine and design an AI based project which is going to solve a small problem in your town or city.
It can be a smallest issue related to your place such as waste management or water management or traffic or roads and transportation or health issue or anything. You will try to solve using AI tools such as machine learning and neural network.
You can take this project to next level by thinking and designing your city or town to be a smart city or smart town.
The core question will be: How can we use the power of artificial intelligence (including machine learning and neural networks) to solve a problem in my city or town? And how can I extensively leverage the tools to make my city or town a smart city?
Steps in this project will include:
Find out the small problems and issues in your town or city that needs to be solved
List out the known problems in your city or town and choose a problem area that you will try to address using AI tools
Talk with neighbourhood people and find out their perspective on the problem you are looking to solve and note down their observations
Define the problem that can be addressed using AI tools
Create a problem statement based on your observations and insights you got from others
Remember, this is the problem that we are going to address using an Artificial Intelligence model. Think about the scope of using machine learning or neural networks in your solutions.
Ideate on solutions that can be built to address the problem
Spend some time thinking about innovative ways to address the problem and generate ideas;
Refine the ideas; Think about limitations and constraints you might have to make your solution work
Finalise on one idea you will work on
You can talk to people about your idea and hone it based on their insights in this stage.
Create a prototype of the solution using machine learning tools or using pen and paper
Design how your AI prototype will work to solve the problem and explain it
Write down the data that you will use in your AI prototype – you can explain what kind of data will be collected and used to train the computer system
Test the tool, get feedback and reflect on potential improvements that can be made (Optional)
You can imagine a test scenario for the AI design you have done and think hypothetically about the problems it can face and what can be changed or improved to make it better
As you can see, each of this process involves a number of steps. You can use the worksheet below as a guide to complete this project.
There is no restriction that you have to use this worksheet to complete the project and present it in the particular fashion. You can do it in the way you want and present it creatively in any fashion, such as a painting, poster, a written essay, short film, etc. You can, however, use this worksheet as a starter. STEP 1

Read your problem statement again and take some time to think some ideas to solve the problem.
As you generate ideas, keep the core question of leveraging AI tools and your problem statement in mind. At the least, you should incorporate using a machine learning tool.

Whenever a function in the city or any organisation or in a house it could be used for welcoming everybody by their name and their achievement.
It could be used whenever any untoward incident or theft happen to identify the culprit
Can you think of any ethical issues that need to be considered? If yes, what are they?
Yes. It may be making or identifying wrong persons or misused ,biased with some persons. Carefully .
It will also interfering privacy of individual.
A video of a function could be added and one or two could be identified.

Goal of your project: This doctor friend software will help us to diagnosis disease and prescribe medicine also and recommend if it is necessary to consult a doctor in case of emergency
How will it solve the problem in your city/town? It will be a great help for the citizens , 24 hours service of a medical expert
What data will you use?
Symptoms of common diseases and medication for that, expert knowledge from a good doctor
How will the system use the data you collected to make decisions?
The input the system receive will be compared with the symptoms given in the programme and make a decision that is nothing but diagnosing the disease and also make a decision to prescribe the medicine
How will the city residents/ users use this program? Explain how the human interaction with the system will be
An App will be created and this app will be installed in every citizens Smartphone and they can use it free of cost

May be the app can prescribe a particular company’s medicine always.
